This shirt is the Sorbetto top by Colette patterns. This top is a very simple pattern with only 2 pattern pieces, bias tape binding, and no closures or zippers. The pattern is suitable for light weight woven cotton fabrics. It requires just a small amount of fabric and it’s free. No wonder this is such a popular pattern all around the web and pinterest.
The original pattern has a nice pleat detail in the front. The floral top is sewn according to the original instructions, without changes except for a little shortening of the hem.The fabric is a light weight cotton lawn that I found in my stash.
The white top is another version of the sorbetto. This time I decided to sew the pleat on the wrong side of the shirt and only on the bust area. This top is more fitted on top and looser on the hips. The fabric is a nice delicate and airy eyelet cotton. So perfect for summer.
